Visa
A visa is required to visit Iran for more than seven days. If you plan to stay for less than a week, a permit is issued automatically upon customs clearance in one of five cities: Tehran, Shiraz, Tabriz, Mashhad, and Isfahan. The visa fee is $80.
Season in Iran: all year round, except for the hot summer months (July-August).

Tehran
Iran's capital combines a dynamic metropolis with soaring skyscrapers and historic mansions, mosques, and old streets. There are numerous parks for leisurely strolls and authentic restaurants for exploring the local cuisine.
Kashan
One of the most ancient civilizations, Elam, was located here, and the famous Silk Road ran through it. Ruins of buildings from that era are located on the Tape Sialk hill near the city, and Kashan itself is a center of traditional crafts.
Isfahan
A magnet for tourists from around the world, Isfahan boasts magnificent oriental palaces, azure mosque domes, elegant bridges, and lush gardens. This city is beautiful both by day and by night, gleaming in the lights of its nighttime illuminations.
Yazd
In a city older than the Egyptian pyramids, you can stroll along the roofs of adobe houses, visit an oriental bazaar, and see monuments to the ancient religion of Zoroastrianism. The surrounding area offers numerous attractions.
Shiraz
Called the cultural capital of Iran and the city of gardens, Shiraz boasts architectural masterpieces, orange groves, an ancient fortress, and the famous Eram Garden. Shiraz will captivate anyone interested in the culture and history of the East.
Nasir ol Molk Mosque
Located in the city of Shiraz, its exquisite floral patterns and abundance of multicolored stained glass have made this building the most Instagrammable location in Iran. In the morning, the sun's rays filter through the stained glass windows, transforming the mosque into a mesmerizing kaleidoscope.
Persian Gardens
In Persian culture, gardens are the earthly embodiment of Eden. Indeed, they create the feeling of touching a piece of Paradise on earth. All nine gardens remaining in Iran are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The desert city of Meybod
One of Iran's most ancient cities, founded during the time of Solomon and reaching its greatest prosperity in the 14th century. With its ancient fortress and adobe houses, its labyrinth of narrow streets, it's easy to imagine you've stepped back in time several centuries ago.
Persepolis
Founded in 560 BC by the legendary Persian king Darius I, the city remains in ruins, yet its grandeur remains captivating: slender columns, exquisite carvings and bas-reliefs, and the monumental "Gate of All Countries."
The village of Niyasar
The Damask Rose Festival takes place here from April 21st to May 21st. During this season, Damask roses bloom in the valleys—prized since ancient times for their incredible fragrance. Today, their extract is used to create expensive European perfumes.
Kish Island
A small island in the Persian Gulf, its landscapes are reminiscent of the Maldives. With piercing blue water, white sand, and coral reefs, it's the perfect spot for a family beach vacation in a tranquil atmosphere.
Dasht-Lut Desert
Its name means "emptiness." This sandy-salt desert covers 52,000 square kilometers and is one of the hottest places on Earth. The endless sands are cut by unusually sharp ridges and surrounded by mountain peaks, with oases blooming on the outskirts.

Arrival in Tehran
We'll begin our exploration of Iran's capital with a visit to Golestan Palace, whose name translates as "Palace of Roses." The palace complex was built in the 16th century, but its architecture was significantly modified between the 18th and 20th centuries. It's an excellent starting point for learning about the country's history and its relationship with Western culture.
After a guided tour of the palace, we'll have lunch and head to Azadi Tower, one of Iran's most recognizable symbols. This monumental white marble arch is lined with traditional turquoise ornaments. We'll combine business with pleasure and not only take stunning photos but also learn many new and intriguing facts: for example, why the Cyrus II cylinder is called the first declaration of human rights.
Then, to enjoy the views of the capital's main landmarks and the snow-capped Tochal Mountains, we'll stroll across the impressive Tabiat pedestrian bridge, stretching between two picturesque parks. We'll conclude the tour at a café, where we'll sample aromatic saffron tea.
